PMI-SP Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for the PMI-SP Certification must meet certain educational and professional experience requirements. All project scheduling experiences have been credited within the last five successive years prior to the application submission.

A secondary diploma (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or global equivalent)

At least 36 months were spent in the specialized area of professional project scheduling within the last five consecutive years.

40 contact hours of formal education in the specialized area of project scheduling*

Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or global equivalent)

At least 24 months were spent in the specialized area of professional project scheduling within the last five consecutive years.

30 contact hours of formal education in the specialized area of project scheduling*

 

OR

 

Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree from a GAC accredited program (bachelor’s or master’s degree or global equivalent)

At least 12 months were spent in the specialized area of professional project scheduling within the last five consecutive years.

30 contact hours of formal education in the specialized area of project scheduling*

*PMI accepted hours spent in training for Microsoft® Project and other scheduling tools.

NOTE: If you are a graduate of a GAC accredited degree program, will receive twelve-month credits towards the work experience requirements.
